Two of Wands and the Eight of Pentacles

Hey guys, just wanted to share a quick tarot pull I did for myself this morning over coffee.

I’ve been feeling incredibly stuck on a work project this past week. You know that phase where you have a dozen tabs open, making endless to-do lists, but you aren’t actually finishing anything? Yeah, that was me. I decided to shuffle my deck and pull two cards just to get a reality check.

I got the Two of Wands and the Eight of Pentacles.

Honestly, the message was loud and clear. The Two of Wands is exactly where I’ve been: standing there, looking at the map, planning for the future, but not actually moving my feet. It’s the ultimate “analysis paralysis” card for me right now.

Then right next to it, the Eight of Pentacles. This card is literally just a guy sitting on a bench, hammering away at his craft. It’s not glamorous. It’s not about grand visions or “manifesting.” It’s about putting your head down and doing the repetitive, tedious work.

The takeaway wasn’t deep or mystical; it was just incredibly practical. The cards basically told me: “Stop planning. Stop strategizing. Sit down at your desk and just do the actual work.”

It was a blunt but much-needed call out. I closed all my extra browser tabs right after that and finally finished the first phase of my project. Sometimes the cards don’t give you a profound spiritual awakening—they just tell you to stop procrastinating.
